It’s the time of year where Christmas is over, the excitement and bustle of December has died down… and we are left with …. January. and … February. …. sigh. I don’t know if you can relate, but I get downright sad when the cold and darkness of these winter months set in. SO I’ve got my Etsy/Pinterest thinking hat on, and came across some inspiration. To get those creative juices flowing (aka the only juices that are ever REALLY flowing inside this little head of mine)… I’ve decided much to my boyfriend’s annoyance that I will take on Passion Project 2013: bedroom makeover. Now… those of you who know me know that no look ever lasts very long in my apartment. But I will have you know - the bedroom has been the same for a soliiiddd 3.5 years. Not to mention I’ve had this crappy IKEA bedframe that has pieces missing from it and could collapse at any second for SEVEN years. YES. SEVEN. I think I owe myself a new IKEA bedframe ;). Gold and black will forevermore be in my brain as a scorpio… and how better to punch up neutrals with that poweful duo? Updates will come shortly! Too much if I try for a taxidermified zebra?? …
A 20 something mancave needs a stylish entrance to introduce the other spaces. The star for this? Navy walls, vintage mirror and frames and a mix of kilim and handpainted fabrics.
I’m not sure what I’m more excited about… Tory Burch @ Yorkdale or J.Crew coming to the Eaton Centre in October. One thing’s for sure - Burch’s store design for her first Canadian store makes my heart flutter. Here’s some tips on how to get the look in your home (if you dare!), plus some of my picks from her pre fall collection. Enjoy!
